Highland Avenue Closed Until Further Notice From Abington Fire
Abington Police said Highland Avenue will be closed as authorities continue to work at the scene of the SPS Technologies building fire.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Due to the SPS Technologies building fire, Highland Avenue will be closed between Glenside Avenue and Wharton Road until further notice, police said.
Abington Police said Kenmore Avenue is also closed between Stewart Road and Highland Avenue.
The shopping center is open to local traffic only using Wharton Road, police said.

Please be aware that the 2000 block of Kenmore Avenue is accessible to residents only.
Mount Carmel Avenue is closed at Highland Avenue.

Police said they will notify residents if there are any changes due to the fire situation.
The fire destroyed the 600,000-square-foot building on Highland Avenue on Monday night. Nearly 70 fire companies battled the four-alarm fire.
Officials said the fire is contained but there are still hotspots.
