MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —Heavy rains Wednesday soaked sections of Eastern Montgomery County as officials and authorities dealt with some flooding and road closures.

Numerous communities reported flooding which caused road closures and also had officials monitoring flood levels in some areas.

The Neshaminy Creek was forecast to reach flood levels on Thursday in nearby Bucks County.

Here's how much rain fell in Eastern Montgomery County on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service:

  • North Hills, 3.21 inches
  • Glenside, 2.12 inches
  • Willow Grove, 2.76 inches
  • Lansdale, 3.43 inches
  • Hatboro, 3.26 inches
  • Jenkintown, 3.17 inches
  • Oreland, 1.28 inches
  • Rydal, 3.46 inches
  • Fort Washington, 3.24 inches

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 54. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: A slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
