Jenkintown has screwed the pooch again. First they created a parking nightmare by installing bump outs on West Ave, not only making it more difficult to park a car, these bump out also took away valuable parking spaces.
Now, adding insult to injury Jenkintown requires visitors to their business district to download an APP on their phones to pay parking fees. Guess what, not everyone wants that APP on their phone which can create another opportunity for a hacker to steal personal data or worse. I for one will not be doing this, ever. So, I, like others will avoid shopping in Jenkintown. I feel bad for the small business owners who will suffer as a result to these misguided policies and who pay a crap ton of taxes to the Borough. Taxes the Borough can ill afford to lose.
It's just as well since this borough has little regard for our safety as they appear to be on track to disband their Police Department.
