Geonattan Fabiani, 32, of Philadelphia, was given a sentence of time already served plus a stint of probation for trying to lure a teen boy.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Philadelphia man has been sentenced by a Montgomery County judge in a case in which he admitted to using social media to try and lure a teenage boy from Abington Township for sex.
Geonattan Fabiani, 32, of Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood, was given a sentence of 706 days already served to three additional years in prison, plus three years of probation, for trying to entice a teen to meet up with him for sex back in the spring of 2020, according to media reports and court records.
Fabiani pleaded guilty on May 10 to felony counts of attempted statutory sexual assault and child pornography possession, according to records from Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Fabiani was arrested after investigators were tipped off by the family of the victim who said the boy and Fabiani were communicating through direct messaging on Instagram.
"The communications were sexual in nature and included multiple requests by defendant for naked photos of the juvenile," the D.A.'s Office said in a June 2020 news release. "The defendant also was pressing to meet the juvenile for sex."
Abington Township Police investigators ultimately used the victim's cellphone to arrange a meeting with Fabiani, and the suspect was arrested at the meet-up location.
Court records show that prosecutors dropped a host of other charges in exchange for the guilty plea on the two counts.
Those dropped counts included corruption of minors, dissemination of explicit sexual materials to minors, criminal solicitation and other charges.
