ABINGTON, PA — Visitors to the Abington Township municipal complex will once again be required to wear facemasks as a mitigation effort against COVID-19.

The township announced on Thursday that the mandatory mask requirement for those attending meetings inside the government building came about due to increasing number of coronavirus transmissions.

Montgomery County is technically still in the 'Low' community level for disease transmission according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but cases have been steadily rising as of late.
