Gallery: Memorial Day 2012 at Post 676

The North Penn VFW Post 676 held its Memorial Day ceremony late this morning.

Post 676 chaplain Kevin Potter, a retired Navy Commander, said, “We should honor the memory of all who have died to make this the greatest country on earth.”

After the ceremony, he said that he has been thinking a lot about the people with whom he has served. He also said that people should remember that there is still a war going on, even if it isn’t reported every day in the news.

The VFW also dedicated a new plaque. It reads:

Dedicated to those comrades who served in support of operations defending the United States homeland and foreign countries from the threat of terrorism since September 11, 2001
