ABINGTON, PA — A local school that caters to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities runs a simulated grocery store out of its Abington campus in order to prepare those with autism for job opportunities when they age out of school.

The Nexus School, based in Abington Township, operates the school, which it calls 'Nex-Mart,' as a way to help prepare youngsters with autism for the real world upon graduation.
