Narberth Ambulance Fills Critical Care Gap, Saving Lives in Delaware County

100 Days of Life-Saving Service in Delaware County Communities.

September 30 marks 100 days since Narberth Ambulance has expanded Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to Ridley Township and Lansdowne Borough, following the closure of Crozer Health. Since the expansion, the non-profit organization has responded to 761 emergency calls in Lansdowne and 529 emergency calls in Ridley Township.

This significant milestone marks Narberth Ambulance's swift and dedicated response following the closure of the Crozer Health System, which left a void in critical care services for Delaware County residents. While Narberth Ambulance had contracted with Lansdowne Borough to offer Basic Life Support (BLS) services in 2023, they officially began providing ALS services on June 22, the same day they officially partnered with Ridley Township.

“The past 100 days have been a testament to our team's strength and dedication,” said Narberth Ambulance Chief John Mick. “The warm welcome we've received from the Holmes Fire Company and Lansdowne Fire Company have made this transition a great success. We're proud to work alongside them to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.”

The most common emergency calls so far have been for falls and chest pain.

“Our emergency first responders are here for the residents 24/7/365,” said Deputy Chief Patrick Glynn. “We are incredibly grateful for the support from our partners and the residents we serve, and we look forward to continuing to serve these communities for years to come.”

Narberth Ambulance has been advancing its mission of providing the highest quality prehospital emergency medical care for over 80 years. This expansion into Ridley and Lansdowne further solidifies its role as a key player in Delaware County's emergency medical response.
