• PA Soccer Coach Of Year Named From Abington (patch.com) — Abington residents can cheer as Abington High School boys’ soccer coach Randy Garber is named Pennsylvania’s 2025 Coach of the Year for the AAAA classification. The statewide honor recognizes his deep knowledge of the game, strong relationships with players and officials, and high standards of conduct, with a formal award presentation set for Jan. 31 in Harrisburg.
   

• North Hills Quick Mart in Abington now open at former 7-11 location (glensidelocal.com) — A new North Hills Quick Mart has opened at 2869 Limekiln Pike in Abington Township, taking over the former 7-Eleven site. The owner is still stocking shelves, but the store is already serving neighbors as a much‑needed local market, following township review confirmed by Abington’s fire marshal.
   

• William S. Colehower (vnews.com) — A man born in Abington in 1937, William S. “Bill” Colehower is remembered as a devoted family man, business leader, and generous volunteer. His family invites friends to honor his legacy through random acts of kindness and notes upcoming memorial services in Sanibel, Florida and Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania in early and late 2026.
