A Philly Man Drew A Prison Term For Arson, Attack At His Ex-Girlfriend's Montco Home
Stephan Osbourne, 43, got a prison sentence after he pleaded guilty in connection with an arson and rampage at his ex-girlfriend's home.
CHELTENHAM, PA — A Philadelphia man will be spending time behind bars after he admitted that he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in this eastern Montgomery County township two years ago and set the place ablaze, according to media reports and court records.
Stephan Osbourne, 43, of the city's Olney section, received a sentence of 5 to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in connection with a rampage at his ex's home back in May 2020.
Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Wendy Rothstein had accepted a plea agreement in the matter in late April, court records show.

Osbourne had pleaded guilty to charges of arson, aggravated assault and burglary. Other criminal charges, including recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and possessing an instrument of crime, were dropped in exchange for the plea deal.
Osbourne had gone to his ex-girlfriend's home on May 23, 2020 and used a hammer to smash a glass door to the residence, after which he smashed a flatscreen TV, threatened the woman's brother, and set fire inside the home, according to a report in the Mercury newspaper.

The report said that the victim's brother and teenage son were able to escape the burning home safely.
Osbourne was reportedly given credit for time served, since he had been in custody since his January 2021 arrest.
