Snow Emergency Declared In Rockledge Borough

Rockledge Borough issued the snow emergency starting at noon Tuesday due to an expected storm bringing snow accumulations to the region.

ROCKLEDGE BOROUGH, PA —Rockledge Borough has declared a snow emergency due to a storm bringing snow accumulations Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The mayor is declaring a snow emergency that goes into effect at noon on Tuesday and will last until noon on Wednesday.

Borough officials are asking residents to move and/or park vehicles in appropriate locations, driveways if possible, to help our crews efficiently clear the roads.

Abington Township and Jenkintown Borough have also declared snow emergencies ahead of Tuesday's storm.

  • Parking is prohibited on Huntingdon Pike and Church Road. Vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed.
  • Property owners, tenants, or anyone in charge must clear snow and ice from sidewalks to a width of at least three feet.
  • Snow and ice must be removed within 24 hours after precipitation ends.
  • Make sure fire hydrants near your property are visible and accessible for emergency crews.
  • Shoveling or blowing snow into the street is illegal—keep the roads clear for plows and emergency vehicles.
  • Check on Your Neighbors —A quick check-in on elderly or vulnerable neighbors can make a big difference.
