Susquehanna Road Closing For SEPTA Improvements
Abington Township Police warn residents of detours for the closure, which started as schools opened Tuesday. Find the detours below.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —SEPTA rail improvements will cause the closing of Susquehanna Road starting Tuesday, the first day of school in the district, PennDOT said.
The Abington Township Police Department alerted residents and drivers of the closure as SEPTA begins rail improvements on Susquehanna Road.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

- From 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, Susquehanna Road at the intersection with Easton Road is scheduled to be closed and detoured.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Edge Hill Road, Easton Road, Jenkintown Road, and Fitzwatertown Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
