Vernon Road Section Closed For Construction

JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A stretch of Vernon Road will be closed Tuesday for a PECO project, borough officials said.

Officials said that Vernon Road between West Avenue and Washington Lane will be closed between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday so that PECO's contractor, J.K. Kiely Construction, can do some work.

The contractor is replacing the gas main in this area.

Residents will have access to their properties during this time, but can expect intermittent delays.

Drivers should make plans to take an alternate route during the time of the PECO work.
