Philadelphia's music scene took a hit in late October when it was announced that the longtime 93.3 WMMR radio host had been found dead in his home at age 70.

Robert joined WMMR in 1981 and worked at the station until his death.

A true radio icon, Robert was one of the most recognized personalities in Philadelphia. He hosted the midday show with his unabashed love for music, his listeners, and the city.

The legendary rock radio personality was best known for his welcoming ‘Greetings Citizens’ salutation, along with his big heart and warm voice.

Robert often made appearances at the Keswick Theatre, where he recently introduced The Hooters just days before his death.
