West Avenue Closing For PECO Work

JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A section of West Avenue will be closed on Thursday due to a PECO project, borough officials said.

Borough officials were notified that West Avenue between Vernon Road and Newbold Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.

PECO's Contractor, J.K. Kiely Construction, will be working to replace the gas main in the area, officials said.

Residents will have access to their properties during this time, but can expect intermittent delays.

Borough officials said that drivers should plan alternate routes during the time of the construction.
