BERKS COUNTY, PA — The Berks County District Attorney's Office has launched a homicide investigation after three family members — a husband, wife and their child — were found dead recently in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The victims have been identified as Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, 30, Junior Cabrera-Colon, 33, and their son, Jeyden Junior Peguero, 1. One person has been charged in connection with the father's death, but no charges have been filed in connection to the deaths of the mother and child.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by their loved ones, the couple leaves behind three children, ages 13, 10, and 8.

Junior Cabrera-Colon, 33, was found shot to death at Baer Park the evening of Sept. 13, FOX29 reported.

Less than a week later, on Sept. 19, police found the body of a woman in a grassy field in Ontelaunee Township. Authorities said they believed foul play was involved with the woman's death. Peguero-Mancebo had been previously been reported as missing to the Reading Police Department.

Authorities said the woman's 1-year-old son had also been reported missing.

The next day, authorities discovered the body of a toddler found partially submerged in a marshy area, about 150 yards west of where the woman was found. Their deaths were ruled homicides after autopsy.

Authorities said they have a suspect in Cabrera-Colon's death. Jose Luis Rodriguez, 61, admitted to the killing and is facing homicide charges, NBC10 reported. The report said Rodriguez told authorities Cabrera-Colon "pulled a gun on him," which led to a struggle and a fatal shot.
