This Is The Best Golf Course In PA, Golf Digest Says

PENNSYLVANIA — Oakmont Country Club in the Pittsburgh area is the best golf course Pennsylvania has to offer, according to a new ranking developed by golfers themselves.

Golf Digest deploys 1,700 professionally trained low-handicap golfers to continually assess the golf courses. The rankings are based on more than 80,000 evaluations over 10 years looking at criteria such as short options, challenge, design variety, conditioning, aesthetics, and character.

Oakmont, according to the publication, has "the game’s nastiest, most notorious bunkers, deep drainage ditches and ankle-deep rough." The magazine also touts the club's lightning-fast putting surfaces.

The USGA has already awarded Oakmont three additional Opens between 2033 and 2049, reinforcing its title as the Host of the Most U.S. Opens, ever, according to Golf Digest.

There are plenty of other courses in Pennsylvania that prioritize the aesthetics of their fairways and greens and test the golfers who play on them with a variety of challenges.
