PENNSYLVANIA - Multiple pets were killed and their owner was injured in a house fire and new details were revealed in the fatal stabbing of a Bucks County woman over the long President’s Day weekend.

Bucks Co. Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of 19-Year-Old Woman

A Bucks County man was charged Sunday in the stabbing death of a 19-year-old woman in Lower Makefield Township.

Trevor Christopher Weigel, 23, was arraigned Sunday afternoon on charges of criminal homicide, burglary, possession of an instrument of crime, disorderly conduct and harassment during a video appearance before District Judge Mick Petrucci in Newtown.

The judge read the charges against Weigel, who appeared on video from his hospital bed where he is being treated for self-inflicted stab wounds to the neck. The judge also informed Weigel of his right to legal counsel.

Lower Makefield Township Police said officers responded to a disturbance on Waterford Road at 2:45 p.m. Friday, where they discovered a man stabbing a 19-year-old woman.

Despite officers' immediate response with life saving measures, the woman died of multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Read more.

Officer Shot, Shooter Killed In Delaware County: Authorities

A Chester police officer was shot and the shooter was killed Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The officer is recovering at a local hospital and is expected to be released soon, according to the Chester Police Department. The suspect was also shot and pronounced dead.

The shootings occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on West 14th Street and Arbor Drive, police said. The officer had been attempting to pull over a car for a prior incident, but the driver led police on a short pursuit, according to CBS Philadelphia.

The suspect got out of his car and started shooting, and the officer fired back, CBS News reported. The officer and suspect haven't been publicly identified. Read more.

Pets Killed, Woman Injured In Delaware County House Fire

A Delaware County woman was injured and her cats were killed in an Upper Darby house fire Monday morning, NBC10 reported.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on the 9200 block of West Chester Pike just before 6:30 a.m., the outlet reported.

Multiple cats were killed in the fire, though it was not immediately made clear just how many perished. The fire was deemed under control about 9 a.m., the outlet added.

New Details Emerge On Fatal Stabbing Of Lower Bucks Woman

The ex-boyfriend of a woman fatally stabbed to death on Friday told police that he "lost it" after he found out that she was cheating on him, court records state.

Trevor Christopher Weigel, 23, of Churchville, was arraigned Sunday afternoon on charges of criminal homicide, burglary, possession of an instrument of crime, disorderly conduct, and harassment during a video appearance before District Judge Mick Petrucci in Newtown.

In a court affidavit obtained by Patch Sunday, the Lower Makefield Township Police Department was dispatched at 2:22 p.m. to the area of 2507 Waterford Road for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Lower Makefield Township Police Officer Robert Kennedy saw the man standing next to a red, two-door Ford Mustang (with the passenger door open) which was parked at the curb directly in front of the address.

Kennedy said he saw the man chase after a woman, tackle her to the ground, and begin stabbing her in the upper portion of her body. Read more.
