Here's Where To Find The Cheapest Groceries In PA, New Study Says
Prices at more than 2,000 stores across the country were compared to find which chain is the most affordable.

PENNSYLVANIA — With the continuously rising cost of groceries placing strain on individuals and families around Pennsylvania and across the country, bargain-hunting has never more been appealing to many.
NetCredit analyzed prices at over 2,000 grocery stores across the U.S. to find which is the most affordable.
In Pennsylvania, Walmart surpasses all other grocery stores for the cheapest price. That's actually not the most common answer for most states, however, as Target is the cheapest in 15 states around the nation.

Walmart is also the cheapest in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Michigan, Maryland, Oklahoma, and California.
In Pennsylvania, Walmart's offerings are 24.75 percent less than the state average.

Price Rite comes in second at 22.60 less than average, followed by Food Lion (21.97 percent), and the Grocery Outlet (20.30 percent)
Target, Kroger, Food Bazaar, and even Wegmans represent the next tier, sitting between 5 and 8 percent cheaper than average.
On other end of the spectrum, ShopRite and Giant are 3 to 5 percent more expensive than average, while Acme is a whopping 20.30 pricier than the average store.
