“Like many Pennsylvanians, I have vivid memories of standing in front of an empty refrigerator, wondering where the next meal would come from,” Kathy noted in her introduction to this event. “There is no more vulnerable feeling than not being able to feed your family,” she said.

Barnette is partnering with ABC Urgent Care to distribute food to our community. It is a great opportunity for Philadelphians to come together, meet our neighbors, and care for those in need, she said.

All are welcome, especially those who are in need. If you would like to support these efforts, please consider spreading the word to others and/or volunteering this Saturday to help distribute food.

Barnette, a Huntingdon Valley resident, ran for Congress in Montgomery County and for the U.S. Senate. A Republican, she is active in the pro-life movement and is an author and political commentator.
