PENNSYLVANIA — A gloomy mid-week storm is set to hit the eastern Pennsylvania region, sandwiched in between sunny and dry days near 60 degrees, forecasters said.
Monday and Tuesday will kick off the week with sunny skies and a high near 60 degrees, though the weather will sour by Tuesday night with a chance of showers, the National Weather Service said.
The wet week will continue Wednesday with more anticipated rain and daytime temperatures in the mid-50s to 60s, forecasters said. The heaviest impacts are likely to be felt over North Jersey and the Poconos, National Weather Service meteorologists said in a Friday forecast discussion.

The rain will taper off by Wednesday night as temperatures drop into the high 30s, just in time for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-50s to return Thursday.
The rest of the week will remain sunny and warm, according to AccuWeather, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s and dry skies.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 62.
Monday Night: Clear, with a low around 43.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
Tuesday Night: A chance of showers after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Wednesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 40.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 58.
