PA Residents Weigh In On Trump's Conviction: See Poll Results
See how Pennsylvania Patch readers reacted to the news of former President Donald Trump's conviction last week:

PENNSYLVANIA — A day after history was made as Donald J. Trump became the first former president to ever be convicted of a crime, we asked Pennsylvania Patch readers for your thoughts on the case — and you delivered.
Patch's non-scientific survey received 3,245 responses as of Monday morning, and more than 60 percent of the respondents agreed with the jury's guilty verdict in all 34 counts in the New York "hush money" case.
Of those who responded, 60.5 percent of Pennsylvania Patch readers said they agreed with the verdict, with 37.5 percent disagreeing and 2 percent saying they were unsure.

More than 58 percent of the readers who responded said Trump should no longer be the Republican nominee for president. He's slated to become the party's official nominee in July at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
That left 38.4 percent who believe Trump should still be the GOP nominee, and 3.4 percent who aren't sure.

But most readers agreed on one thing — that the New York conviction won't sway their vote in November, with more than 76 percent of respondents saying the conviction will not impact the way they vote in November.

Asked whether the three other criminal cases against Trump will change the way they vote on Nov. 5, more than 79 percent said no, and 80 percent said Trump's July sentencing — and whether he gets prison time — won't change things when they go to the polls.
Asked for their take on the "hush money" case, multiple readers simply responded, "Lock him up," a callback to Trump supporters' "lock her up" chant regarding his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Several other Patch readers advocated for prison time for the former president, with one adding, "I wish they would send him to jail."
Several readers chimed in simply to pronounce Trump "guilty," with readers also saying, "No one is above the law. Stop whining." Others said they didn't plan to vote for him anyway — conviction or not.
"Trump is finally being help accountable for years of shady business dealings. His other more serious trials should be held before Election Day. He is a danger to our democracy," one reader wrote.
But some Patch readers steadfastly supported the former president, with several responding "Trump 2024" or "MAGA" in the comments.
"This country is in a total mess, and if the trial was anywhere else other than New York he would have been found not guilty, so one sided," one person said.
Another said the trial was "obviously political which is destroying the justice system in this country."
Trump is scheduled to be sentenced in the New York case on July 11
