Rare Whiskey Lotteries Now Open To PA Residents
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced the start of its limited-release whiskey lotteries on Monday.

HARRISBURG, PA — Whiskey fans across the state can enter their names into a statewide lottery this week to purchase rare and highly sought spirits, according to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
The agency on Monday announced the start of its limited-release lotteries. Nearly 1,600 bottles are up for grabs this year, including 1,440 bottles made by Kentucky-based Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery.
For the Van Winkle release lottery, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will hold six separate drawings, or one per limited-release whiskey. Participants can enter one, several or all drawings. Winners can purchase one bottle, and every winner selected will be removed from all subsequent drawings.
