Schweppes Ginger Ale Recalled In PA, 2 Other States, FDA Says
Thousands of PepsiCo ginger ale products were voluntarily recalled in Pennsylvania and other states, the FDA said in an announcement.
PENNSYLVANIA — Thousands of Pepsi Co ginger ale products sold to businesses in three states, including Pennsylvania, have been recalled for mistakenly containing sugar, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
230 cases of the sugar- and caffeine-free ginger ale were voluntarily recalled on March 9 for containing sugar, the agency said.
No injuries or illnesses due to the recalled products have been reported to date.

The recalled products, sold in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, have the universal product code May 2024 MAY20240520VS02164 – MAY20240550VS02164.
A PepsiCo spokesperson told Patch there are currently no impacted products on shelves for sale and the impacted products were never for sale in New York or New Jersey.

Those who have purchased the recalled products, including those who need to monitor their blood sugar, are instructed to toss them immediately.
