Stormy Weather Pattern Continues Through The Week In Eastern PA
Soon after one storm leaves, a new storm will already be brewing, forecasters say. Here's the latest:
A busy weather pattern will continue this week across the Philadelphia region, with several rounds of rain and storms expected. Forecasters say residents should expect a generally wet week, with few dry days as storms coming from the Midwest continue to bring soggy conditions to the Philadelphia region. The active pattern will extend into the weekend, forecasters predict.
"A pattern will be in place where one weather system or another will produce extensive areas of clouds, showers, and, in some cases, hours of steady rain. Soon after one storm leaves with its clouds and lingering showers, a new storm will already be brewing in the Midwest with eyes for the Northeast hours to a day later," according to AccuWeather.
"It certainly looks like most areas will not bunch two dry days in a row into next weekend," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Tom Kines said.

First up, is a slow-moving storm system that will affect the region from Tuesday into Wednesday. The National Weather Service predicts as much as an inch of rain could fall over a 36-hour period on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, flooding is not currently predicted.
Then, later in the week, another large storm system will move into the region. While it's still several days away, forecasters say that system could make for another damp weekend.

"While the arrival of that system may be delayed, indications are that it will rain in part of the region on Friday and much of the region on Saturday," according to AccuWeather.
The best chance to see some sunshine this week will be Monday and Thursday.
"Consider any breaks of dry weather a true bonus in this busy pattern," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Joe Lundberg noted.
