A tornado watch that was issued across Eastern Pennsylvania Friday morning has been extended through 10 p.m. for five counties. The tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area.
Residents in the watch area should be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued, forecasters warn.
The extended watch is in place in the following Pennsylvania counties: Bucks, Monroe, Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton.

There are several additional advisories in place on what is expected to be a wet, stormy day as the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby make their way across the area.
There is a wind advisory in place through 8 p.m. "Southeast winds 10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected," the National Weather Service said.

There is a flood watch in place through 1 a.m.
Heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Debby will produce rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts of 3 inches or more possible, forecasters warn.
The storm is expected to clear out by Saturday, when sunny skies and a high of 84 is expected.
