Weather Shift Brings New Storms To Eastern PA Forecast: See Timeline
Three days of rain, possible thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 15 mph are in forecasted for Eastern Pennsylvania. See the latest:
PENNSYLVANIA — Several rounds of storms are set to hit the Philadelphia region after a dry, sunny start to the week, forecasters said.
The wet weather is forecast to begin Wednesday afternoon and pummel the region with three days of rain, possible thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 15 mph, the National Weather Service said.
“Showers will gradually move into the region later this morning and become more widespread, particularly this afternoon and late this evening,” the National Weather Service Mount Holly said in a statement. “A few rumbles of thunder are also possible, mainly late this evening.”

The storms are slated to clear Friday night just in time for the weekend, which is forecast to see sunny skies with highs in the low to mid-60s.

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers before 11 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 53. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday: A chance of showers, mainly before 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
Friday: A slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
