$1,000 in Coins Stolen from UTZ Jar, Police Say

An Ambler woman's savings were not so secure in her home, police said, and now about $1,000 in coins is missing.
Ambler Borough Police said a resident of the unit block of N. Ridge Avenue reported Oct. 16 at 5:07 p.m. that she was away over the weekend. While she was gone, someone entered her home and stole a plastic UTZ jar filled with the coins, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
