All-Gender Cheerleading Team Launched At Montco Community College

For the first time ever, Montgomery County Community College will have an all-gender cheerleading team.

BLUE BELL, PA — For the first time in its history, Montgomery County Community College will have a cheerleading team.

The all-gender team, which will launch this fall, was announced this week.

“It will really add to school spirit,” Kelly Dunbar, Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation, said in a statement. “Our cheerleading team will be involved with a lot of campus-wide and community events and help support the varsity teams.”

The noncompetitive team will be a part of the Mustangs Athletic Department.

They will be a part of community events and games, and participation is open to all registered students, year round.

Tryouts will begin in late August. Interested students should contact athletics@mc3.edu.
