Dave Brunelli Successfully Completes Pudge's Cheesesteak Challenge

Dave Brunelli, of Philadelphia, ate a large cheesesteak, two pounds of fries and a large soda, in 15:58, to beat the Pudge's Cheesesteak Challenge.

Pudge’s Steaks & Hoagies in Blue Bell, PA started The “Cheesesteak Challenge” on June 1, and after two months, on Sunday, July 29, Pudge's Blue Bell has a winner! Dave Brunelli, a.k.a. Tiger Wings and Things, of Philadelphia, ate a large cheesesteak, two pounds of fries and a large soda in 15 minutes and 58 seconds. Brunelli is one of many to attempt the challenge, but the first to successfully complete it.

The original prize was a free meal and a Pudge’s tee. After a month of defeated challengers, Pudge’s decided to up the ante and add a $100 prize. In addition, for every challenger who was defeated another $5 was added to the prize.

Brunelli walked away with $145 cash prize.
