Elizabeth Lampkin Named Ambler Area YMCA Volunteer of the Year

Elizabeth Lampkin, who has been volunteering with the Ambler Area YMCA for more than 30 years, was recognized as Volunteer of the Year.

For her enthusiasm and commitment to the Y, Elizabeth Lampkin has been namedthe “Ambler Area YMCA Volunteer of the Year.” John F. Flynn, CEO & President of the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity, recognized Lampkin’s efforts at the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity’s Annual Meeting on June 7, 2012 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

While being a part of the Y family for more than 30 years, Lampkin has volunteered her time and efforts for countless programs and events at the Y such as Healthy Kids Day, Breakfast with Santa and Teen Nights. In particular, Lampkin’s biggest impact in the Ambler Area Y community has been her dedication to the Y Achievers Program. Lampkin serves as an Adult Y Achiever, and has worked tirelessly to promote the program to parents and students in the local school districts. With her help, the Y Achievers program has been delivering quality services and impacting each child in the program. The Y is grateful for Lampkin’s continued support.
