Frostbite 5 Miler Coming Up In Ambler: Road Closures, What To Know
One of the mid-Atlantic region's premier winter road races will hit the streets of Ambler and Lower Gwynedd this weekend.
AMBLER, PA — The Frostbite 5 Miler, one of the mid-Atlantic region's premier winter road races will hit the streets of the Ambler area this weekend.
The starting gun will fire at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Wissahickon High School. Runners will tour through the borough and around Lower Gwynedd before returning to the finish line at the high school.
The event, put on by the Ambler Area Running Club, is once again the debut race of the 2025 Mid-Atlantic USA Track and Field Grand Prix of road racing.

The defending champion is 23-year-old Ethan Hermann, who won topped a competitive field in race in 25:20. Abigail Corrigan, 25, won the women's race in a blistering 28:44.
Eleven runners dipped under 27:00 and 51 broke 30:00.

Road closures will be in place for about 90 minutes, starting at 8:45 a.m. and continuing until just after 10 a.m. Most of the course, outlined below, will be closed during the race.
Police said they will be tailing the last runners and will be reopen roads as they finish.
