Letter to the Editor:
My family and I moved to Ambler in June, 1996. Coming from Philadelphia, there were many great things that attracted us to this town, such as public transportation, an elementary school, businesses and sidewalks. Since that time, Ambler, much like my family, has flourished and grown. I have come to deeply appreciate the many amenities that our small community offers.

In spite of recent economic challenges, Ambler continues to grow – attracting more and more people to live, shop, and to enjoy social entertainment here in the borough. As with all small towns, Ambler also faces challenges: the loss of an elementary school, pending litigation with regard to unwanted billboards, filling empty store fronts – challenges that can, and will be, conquered.
Over the years, Ambler has succeeded because of steady leadership and a vision of maintaining Amber’s classic town atmosphere. It is with this personal appreciation of where Ambler has been, where it is, and where it is going, that I seek the position of Ambler Borough Mayor.

My experience as a teacher in the Wissahickon School District – both at Mattison Avenue Elementary and Blue Bell Elementary – as well as my experience as a co-Vice President of the Wissahickon Education Alliance and a former Democratic Committeeman for Ambler, have afforded me the opportunity to foster relationships, develop leadership skills, learn the art of compromise, and first and foremost, to listen.
I ask for, and appreciate, your support in my endeavor to keep Ambler moving forward. Please follow my campaign at facebook.com/deruosiformayor and twitter.com/deruosiformayor.
Most sincerely,
Frank DeRuosi
