Love Stories: Jill and Chris

Patch asked our readers for love stories on Valentine's Day, so Jill decided to tell her story of a successful online romance that lead to marriage.

We've all heard the horror stories of online romances gone bad, so it's refreshing to hear of one that works out and leads to marriage.

Here's the story of how Jill met Chris:

"Lately you hear all the horror stories about people meeting fake people online, but our story is an online story that has a wonderful ending.

My husband Chris and I met online in 2007. At the time, I lived in Harrisburg and he lived in Penllyn. We spent lots of hours chatting online, and then on the phone. Both of us were 2nd shifters, but I was not working because of illness at the time.

We decided to meet, and in June of 2007, we met at the King of Prussia mall. We just seemed so right for each other. I spent many hours traveling the turnpike to visit on weekends. I ended up moving in with him and we got engaged.

It was a quick romance, but it just felt right for both of us. On April 26, 2008, we got married, and we are about to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. People that know us are very surprised to find out we have not been married longer. We're a perfect match as we like so many of the same things.

Congrats to Jill and Chris on their successful marriage. We hope your future is filled with happiness and joy!
