Man in Serious Condition After Ambler Man Allegedly Beats Him Unconscious, Police Say

An Ambler man is sitting in Montgomery County prison on $25,000 bail after police said he allegedly beat a man unconscious last week.

John Michael Pistilli, 31, of the 200 block of S. Spring Garden Street, was arrested and charged with felony aaggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault and harassment, according to court records.

Pistilli has a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 19 before District Judge Patricia Zaffarano.

Police said on Aug. 26 at 2:12 a.m., officers responded to a man laying unconscious in a rear driveway of S. Main Street.

Pistilli, police said, was found in his home and stated that he and the alleged victim had gotten into an argument, which later turned physical.

The victim remain unconscious through transport to a local hospital and is in serious condition, police said.
