Morris Rd. to be Closed Tuesday for Emergency Repairs

Emergency pipeline repairs will close Morris Rd. from Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike to Lewis Rd. in Whitpain Township.

UPDATE, Aug. 28: PennDOT has informed Whitpain Township that Morris Road will remain closed between Penllyn Pike and Lewis Lane through Wednesday, August 29 until approximately 3 p.m. Emergency vehicles and residents will have access to the road and residences.

Whitpain Township announced Monday that emergency pipeline repairs on Morris Rd. will close the road from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, between Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike and Lewis Rd.

According to an e-mail from Kate Harper's office, the detour for Morris Rd. will be:


Heading east on Morris Road: Make a right on Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike, a left on Route 73, a left onto Lewis Road, and a right back onto Morris Road eastbound. 

Heading west on Morris Road: Make a left on Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike, a right on Route 73, a right onto Lewis Road, and a left back onto Morris Road westbound.
