Penllyn Man Arrested in Connection With Whitpain, Lower Gwynedd Burglaries

Norristown Police Arrested a Penllyn man to is accused of burglarizing Whitpain and Lower Gwynedd homes.

On July 16, the Norristown Police Department received a report of a suspicious person on 316 Hamiliton St. in Norristown.

The dispatcher told officers that a white female wearing glasses, a white top and black pants was seen in the backyard of that address and the called believed the female had climbed through a rear window and was inside the residence.

When officers arrived on scene, the resident stated he saw the female open the front door and let a black male inside the home.

Upon entering the residence, officers heard the door slam shut.

Two Norristown police officers were in the rear of the residence and observed a white female and a black male, later identified as Melinda Holder and Leroy Noel Goins, exiting the rear door.

The two were detained, and once officers confirmed they were not authorized to be in the residence, were taken into custody.

Goins, 45, of Penllyn, is wanted in in connection with a in the West Ambler section of the township and charges are pending for .

He is also charged with the community in Lower Gwynedd Township that occurred on evening of Monday, July 9.

Goins is currently being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
