RECALL: Ceiling Fans Falling From the Ceiling Being Recalled
Emerson "Corsair" ceiling fans are being recalled after eight reports of the fans falling from the ceiling.
Air Comfort Products, a division of Emerson Electric Co., is recalling approximately 870 Emerson Corsair ceiling fans.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the company has had three reports of the Corsair fans falling from the ceiling. The ceiling fan's hanger bracket can spread apart due to heat from the motor, causing the fans to fall out of the ceiling.
The recall involves Emerson "Corsair" model ceiling fans with two blades and 44 to 52 inch blade spans.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fans and contact Emerson Air Comfort Products to schedule a free repair.
