Ambler Patch: When did you open your business?

We opened our 2nd location in Ambler on August 15, 2011

AP: Who is your ideal client or customer?

GSL: The person who wants natural, healing organic skin care

AP: What makes your business unique from others in your field?

GSL: We make all of our own skin care, products using natural ingredients and essential oils which are Paraben, SLS & Gluten free as well and being vegan and vegetarian friendly. Our vendors have to live local and make their craft as well . . . we have a wonderful selection of handmade cards, handbags, jewelry.  Green Street Luxuries will custom make any product for our customers and so will our vendors.  We offer excellent customer service and you can get a one of a kind item made especially for you at an affordable price.

AP: What made you decide to open a business?

GSL: Wanting safer and natural products to heal my children's and loved ones skin issues we started making different products about 21 years ago.  We were a home base business and joined our local farmer's market (we opened our first store at the end of the FM season) and within 3 years of opening our first store, we are now in 4 locations, our Lansdale location has moved twice for larger space, and we also offer organic services with the products made on location in Lansdale. 

AP: What’s your most popular item?

GSL: "After Shower Moisturizing Cream" it is the cream that I made for my son's eczema and helps all dry skin issues including psoriasis too! We make 4-8 batches a week of this cream.  It truly is amazing!

AP: What make’s your community special?

GSL: I love that Ambler is a walkable town, the residents love their town and always stop in to say hi, I love that!   The visitors love that Ambler has a lot to offer, I hear it everyday that Ambler needs more retail, small shops etc. I would love to see more retail to accommodate everyone who walks up and down our streets.  It would be the icing on the cake!

AP: Where can customers find your specials?

GSL: Join our e-mail list, follow us on Facebook, visit our website. Every Wednesday on Facebook I ask a question of the week, the first one to answer correctly wins a $5 gift certificate. And many times I will give away free items without notice, but announce it on Facebook.

Summer store hours at Green Street Luxuries are closed on Mondays, hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from noon until 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday noon until 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Check their website or Facebook page for last minute closings due to weather.
