"The Drinks Business" Names the World's Best Beers for 2011
Trade magazine "The Drinks Business" has released the list of the world's most popular brews based on case sales, and some winners may surprise you.

According to The Drinks Business, a european trade magazine covering the industry, has released it's Top Ten list for the most popular brews in the world. The list is compiled based on case sales.
There are some familiar names on the list, but some of the entries may surprise you. According to DB, the list looks like this:
- 1. Snow Beer – 50.8 million barrels in 2011; 52 million barrels in 2010.
- 2. Bud Light – 45.4 million barrels in 2011; 47.4 million barrels in 2010.
- 3. Budweiser – 38.7 million barrels in 2011; 37 million barrels in 2010.
- 4. Corona Extra – 30.4 million barrels in 2011; 27.9 million barrels in 2010.
- 5. Skol – 29.5 million barrels in 2011; 30.2 million barrels in 2010.
- 6. Heineken – 26 million barrels in 2011; 24.8 million barrels in 2010.
- 7. Coors Light – 18.2 million barrels in 2011; 14.5 million barrels in 2010.
- 8. Miller Lite – 18 million barrels in 2011; 18.2 million barrels in 2010.
- 9. Brahma – 17.4 million barrels in 2011; 18 million barrels in 2010.
- 10. Asahi Super Dry – 12.3 million barrels in 2011; 12 million barrels in 2010.
Huffington Post also ranked the top 20 Selling American Craft Breweries. Delaware's Dogfish Head Craft Brewery was ranked number 14.

Brooklyn Brewery, out of Brooklyn, NY, was ranked number 15, and Great Lakes Brewing Company, out of Cleveland, OH, was ranked number 20.
Snow Beer, the Chinese Pale Ale topping the list, may be unfamiliar to most Americans, but plenty of U.S. beers are represented in the stats.
