Armed Man Caught Flying Drone Over Phillies Game

A drone was spotted by authorities flying over Sunday's Phillies game.

A drone that flew over Sunday’s Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park was confisticated and its owner questioned, according to multiple reports.

Police easily found the operator of the drone outside the stadium, Philly.com states, and the operator complied with authorities and was released.

The drone flew briefly above the third base gate and did not disrupt the game, according to 6 ABC News.

Police have not identified the man, and his drone will be returned, reports state.

The man was carrying a handgun, and had a license to carry it, according to reports.

Drones can pose a safety hazard when poorly manned, and have killed and injured bystanders in recent years, according to Philly.com.

The man could face a Federal Aviation Administration fine for flying a drone below 3,000 feet, according to law.
