Fire At Main Line Dry Cleaner Battled Over Weekend
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore and other fire companies quelled a fire at a Main Line dry cleaning business this weekend.

ARDMORE, PA — Firefighters in Ardmore battled a fire at a local dry cleaner over the weekend, and luckily no one was hurt.
According to the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, firefighters were called to Main Line Quality Dry Cleaners at 110 Cricket Ave. in Ardmore at about 8:05 a.m. Saturday for a fire alarm activation.
Once on scene, crews found heavy smoke in the building and all Lower Merion companies were alerted to respond. Narberth Ambulance, Fire Marshals from Lower Merion and the Moana Fire Company Safety team were also dispatched.

Fire officials said the fire progressed from the first floor level through the ceiling into the roof area.
Firefighters launched an aggressive interior attack with three hand lines, and firefighters opened the roof to stop the fire's progression.

The fire was placed under control in 50 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
