House Ransacked on Schiller Ave., Police Say

A woman's home is ransacked while she was away.

Every room in a house on the 600 block of Schiller Ave. was ransacked on Nov. 8, sometime between 5 p.m. and 8:43 p.m., police said.

The woman that lives at the property came home on Nov. 8 when she noticed her front door open, and she could see through the entry way, police said.

She called the police, and when the police arrived they cleared the residence and discovered that every room had been picked over.

The woman told police that a significant amount of jewelry had been taken, and police discovered that entry to the home had been gained through a forced open window on the first floor of the residence.
