I-76 Lanes Closing Overnight For 2 Weeks In Lower Merion

The work is part of a $41.3 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps.

LOWER MERION, PA — PennDOT said Interstate 76 in Lower Merion Township and Philadelphia will have an overnight lane closure for two weeks due to road resurfacing and repair work.

The work will be done Monday through Nov. 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

A weeknight lane closure will be in place on I-76 in both directions between Walnut Street and the Grays Ferry/University Avenue Exit (346B).

Additionally, from Friday to Nov. 10, a lane closure will be in place on westbound I-76 between the U.S. 1 North/Roosevelt Boulevard and Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive interchanges.

This closure will also be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5a.m. the following morning.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur.
