I-76 Lanes Closing Overnight For A Month: PennDOT
PennDOT said lanes will close on portions of Interstate 76 in Lower Merion and Philadelphia overnight through early October.
LOWER MERION-PHILADELPHIA — Lanes will close on Interstate 76 in Lower Merion and Philadelphia overnight for about a month, PennDOT said.
Crews will be doing line striping, barrier repair, and inlet replacement on two portions of the highway.
A weeknight lane closure is scheduled on sections of I-76 in both directions between the City Avenue/U.S. 1 and Interstate 676 interchanges.

Another closure is scheduled on I-76 between Walnut Street and University Avenue for line striping and pavement repair.
These lane closures will be in place weeknights from Tuesday through Oct. 3 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
This work is part of a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges in the City of Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
