Interstate 76 Lanes Closing Overnight In Lower Merion, Philadelphia
The work is part of a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, its ramps, and 20-plus bridges.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — PennDOT said more work on Interstate 76 in Lower Merion and Philadelphia will affect overnight travel on the highway this week.
According to PennDOT, lanes will close on ramps on I-76 east and west Monday through Friday this week.
The work is part of a $37.9 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges in Lower Merion and Philadelphia.

Below are details on the lane closures this week:
- Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramps to-and-from eastbound and westbound I-76 to U.S. 1 (City Avenue).
- Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramps to-and-from eastbound and westbound I-76 to Girard Avenue.
- Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from eastbound I-76 to Montgomery Drive.
- Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from eastbound I-76 to Spring Garden Street.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
