LMHS Honored as 'Model Professional Learning Community'

LMHS was one of only 200 schools in the United States and Canada to receive the distinction, Lower Merion School District said.

Lower Merion High School has been honored as a “Model Professional Learning Community,” Lower Merion School District announced.

LMHS was one of only 200 schools in the United States and Canada to receive the distinction, the district said.

The distinction, bestowed by Solution Tree, recognizes LMHS’ “sustained success in raising student achievement,” the district said.

“This honor speaks to the dedication of the teachers and administration at LMHS and their belief that through collaboration and embedded professional learning that all students can and will achieve,” said Interim Director of Secondary Education Marcy Hockfield. “It also speaks to the district’s commitment to providing the professional learning and time for teachers to do this important work.
