Lower Merion Hosting Final Clean-Up Event July 25-26
The next opportunity for residents to dispose of their unwanted items is Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA —Do you have a lot of junk and need to get rid of it? If you answered "yes," then you are in luck. Residents in Lower Merion Township will have one more opportunity to get rid of any of their old trash or recyclables during the township's final cleanup event scheduled for next weekend.
For free of charge, residents can dispose of their old belongings Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lower Merion Transfer Station, which is located at 1300 N. Woodbine Ave. in Penn Valley.
Recyclable material must be separated from other household trash. Also, no construction or demolition debris, TVs, oil-based paint or hazardous waste will be accepted. Latex paint must be hardened for disposal.

At the recycling drop-off center, residents can recycle paper textiles and commingled items. Non-profits organizations will be on hand to collect unwanted computers, bicycles, furniture, clothing and more.
Masks and social distancing are required to enter the transfer station. Township staff will not be available to unload items in order to adhere to distancing requirements and for the safety of residents and township staff.
