Lower Merion Welcomes New Police Officers to Department
Six new police officers were sworn into the department last week. The township is seeking to hire more for 2015.

The Lower Merion Police Department added its newest recruits to the ranks last week. Six new officers were sworn in and received their badges at a ceremony Thursday morning.
The new officers are Andrew Chupein, Austin Urkuski, Tanner Noecker, Mike Aluise Cynthia Yoder and Jaclyn Daly.
The Lower Merion Police Department is also looking to grow its ranks in the next year, according to its Facebook page.

The department began accepting applications for employment for the position of probationary police officer. Hand-delivered applications can be submitted at the Staff and Inspections Unit on Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore. The application deadline is July 18 at 4 p.m.

Testing for the position of Probationary Police Officer will occur on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at 9 a.m. The anticipated date of hire is May 2016.
