'Open Conversation' Planned on Race and Police in Lower Merion

The "multi-racial, whole community event" is set for Sunday.

An “open conversation about race and policing in Lower Merion” is planned for Sunday.

The meeting is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at the P.A.L.M. Center, 117 Ardmore Ave. in Ardmore.

The conversation will include the NAACP; the Police and Community Relations Committee; and the Mainline Black Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance. It is a “multi-racial, whole community event,” Brian Gordon, Lower Merion Township Commissioner 12th Ward, said in a letter to residents.
